Wood Flooring

The most popular wood flooring option is definitely hardwood.  There are two types available:

Solid hardwood is made from a single strip of wood and nothing else, so it has a strong and thick construction.

Engineered hardwood has a layered construction, and it offers greater dimensional stability.

Is water resistance an important consideration for your setting?  Tile flooring, since it resists moisture and even heat, may be the best choice.  Tiles are popular in kitchens and bathrooms, but they can accommodate outdoor settings as well.

Ceramic tile is the preferred choice for indoor settings given its design versatility.

Porcelain tile, which is more dense and more resistant than ceramic, is better for outdoor settings such as patios.

For extra durability and comfort underfoot, be sure to take a look at vinyl flooring.  While vinyl is specially-made to look exactly like real wood or tile, it's synthetic construction means that it is relatively flexible and warm underfoot.  Also, vinyl resists spills, stains, and moisture without any special treatments.

Luxury vinyl flooring offers truly authentic visuals and long-lasting performance.
